========================

Had a great weekend.

Friday:
Ended up helping out Carson by escorting his girl, Michelle, to a show in Plano. I was a bit skeptical of how the night would go at first. But, it ended up going really well. I had an awesome time. Some of the bands were awesome. Some...not so awesome. I'm listening to one of them right now, though actually. ;] I can't get a few of their songs out of my head. (What's funny is that this was THE band I was really not liking at first.) I guess they grow on you... Haha! Yeah, good time. Michelle dropped me off at my car and we ended up meeting up with Carson over at IHOP for a little while. Felt bad cause he seemed a little stressed that night. I hope hanging out helped some... I ended up buying some badass songs from a website I found. ;D (Yes, I actually spent money on music, what's up with that?) They're such high quality though, that it was worth every penny. 320kbps sounds amazing on the right sound system. I'm such an audiophile. Haha!

Saturday:
Woke up finally around 11 or so after crashing around 5am. Cleaned up the apartment a bit, watched a movie I had been meaning to for a while. Tried to keep my energy level kinda up since I knew I'd be out for a while that night. Ate with the fam around 5-5:30 or so and then got ready to go. Left for Steph's place around 6 and hung out with her while she got dressed and ready to go. I brought some crown and coke to get the party started a little early for me. Haha! I'm really seeing the potential of her new place. Posh Ultralounge is pretty nice. I got to hang with the owner for a while. Had a few laughs. The drinks are very reasonably priced. ($4 for a crown and coke as opposed to the $7 I'm used to paying at other places.) Got to head up to the DJ booth and spend some time up there and meet the new resident DJ there. Very good people there. Much older crowd. Dress code is definitely enforced. No t-shirts of any kind allowed here. (I felt a bit underdressed even wearing jeans. Haha!) You gotta dress very adult to get in... Met a nice couple there. Someone who I finally got to exchange some martial arts conversation with that was really humble. Hard to find nowadays. Definitely will be going back when I can make it.

Hit up the Lizard Lounge a bit later than expected. Found Lara, Amber, Ami, Ray and Michael all in their usual spots. Haha! Had a couple more drinks. The bartender I usually hit up there was busy as hell. He was the only one in the video bar that night. I felt kinda bad for him... Gave some usual lightshows. Made a few new friends. Didn't do as much dancing this time. Maybe in two weeks when I come back, I will. (This weekend will have to wait cause of Lara's b-day.) Got ready to leave around 3am with Ami, Lara and Amber. We were gonna meet up with Ami over at J's... but, had so much trouble finding the place that we just said "fuck it" and headed out.

Sunday:
Woke up around 11 or so and showerd and went to eat at Chicken Express with Lara and Amber. That really hit the spot since I hadn't eaten in over 12 hours. I was so starving.... (and they have the best sweet tea. ;]) After I dropped them off, I headed home and laid on the couch to watch "Smokin' Aces". That's a badass movie. Everyone should see it at some point. (I love that ending. They did a very good job with it. The music was perfect. Very unusual to see Ryan Reynolds in such a serious role. But, he pulled it off nicely.

Was planning on going to see Carson that afternoon, but after asking him to play "Smash Brothers" that day, I didnt' get a message back. No big deal, I ended up taking a nice 3 hour nap that day. I really needed it. It was awesome. Went out to see Kala & Noah around 8'ish. Hung out there till 10 or so and drove Kala and I over to her sister's place to help Michelle move in. Stayed there till midnight or so and headed over to see Jason and Frank at IHOP. (We need to get Frank a new hangout. That place is tapped...)

Crashed around 5 or so after watching "A Scanner Darkly" for the first time. (Weird movie. Kinda cool... wouldn't watch it again though.)

Anyways... at work now. Been a real easy day so far. Nothing too stressful. We'll see what it's like when I get outta here around 11 or so... I think I'm gonna like it.

P.S. I'll be in Austin tomorrow night around 2am. I leave as soon as I get outta work tomorrow. If anyone wants to hang out Wednesday night or Thursday afternoon, let me know. I'm gonna be cleaning the apartment most of the day Wednesday...so after that, I'll be looking for somethin to do...

Should I or should I not say anything?

It's one of those situations where if I do, I'm being selfish. But, if I don't, it'll just eat me up inside as it already is. I'm strong enough that I can take it. But, I don't know if I really want to...

Well, I have noone to blame but myself to allowing me to get to where I am now.

Even the typical distractions aren't working anymore. As much as I would like them to. Am I just too far gone? :-/

I wonder what's going to happen in the coming weeks. I'm not going to stress about that though. There's no point. Won't change anything. All I can do is affect how I act now and going forward with the information I have available to me.

In other news, I dropped off my car this morning to be worked on. I hope I get it back by friday. I can't wait to have that nice, clean bumper on it and my exhaust fixed up. I know that pipe is bent and it needs to be repaired. They better not miss that. We'll see what happens...

An awesome night!

a) Went out to lunch with Carson, had some good laughs.
b) Hung out with Steph for about an hour or so. Good times.
c) Spent the rest of the evening with Connie.
Johnny Carino's, "The Orphanage", Chill party... made for a real good night.

Definitely one I'll remember for a while.

I love it when things outside of the normal routine happen. They're scary as hell... but, when they work.... it makes all that anxiety worth it.

I feel like dancing. Really.

Update on the insurance issue...

Got 3 estimates today on the damage.

Caliber Collision - $1405
Service King - $809
Craig's Collision - $816

Caliber estimated more labor needed for everything. Not by a lot... but it apparently made a big difference. The cost of the work is still the same per hour, though.

I'm going to try and see if I can get the insurance adjuster to give me at least a grand. I'll start up at $1200-$1300 and go from there. I can be persuasive when I need to be. I really only need about 500 or so for parts and supplies since I know people that can help out with this. So, labor will be very, very cheap. I love knowing people! ;D

I get to talk to someone from Geico Monday afternoon. We'll see how it goes then...

Omg, what a stressful weekend....

When I went out for a while Saturday, my car got rear ended. Nothing real bad. But, now when I idle, my exhaust vibrates against my bumper. I need a new bumper and exhaust now. >.> Thankfully, I know where I can get the parts for cheap and help get the labor done on it with me for practically nothing. ^^; I might be able to work out $1500-2000 from the insurance company. Dunno. (Hell, I managed to get 1100 for 300 worth of equipment in my car when it was broken into. This should be no problem.)

Moved down last night. Had Jeff help me move the washer, dryer and mattresses in the truck, but after that, it was all me. He had to go home. I hate moving. Plain and Simple. I've got to unpack all these boxes today. That's my big task at hand.

I also managed to get a speeding ticket. My first in 3 years. Not surprisingly as I started to get real close to D/FW... I apparently was going 85 in a 65. I thought the speed limit was 70 and I was going 75. I normally go off the speed everyone else is going and pace them... but, there was noone else around and some local cop found me. He knocked down the speed to where it would be within 15mph instead of 20 so I can do defensive driving.

I also need to find a job now, when I get done with this stuff. Very frustrating. I hate the whole training process. But, what're you going to do, y'know? I think I found one anyways that pays $14-16 an hour based on experience. (Jason, I'll show you.) I'm pretty confident I can get it. It's right up my alley. It's just not what I want.. But, I don't get the option of being picky really.

So, in short:
Packed alone, (with the exception of Jeff's help at the beginning.)
Got a speeding ticket
Got rear ended
Still have to unpack everything.
Need to find a job.

Oh, I also got some new glowing chucks in the mail. They're AWESOME! Thank you, Lara!

What a strange morning. I wake up and see all this. Eh, nothing that can't be taken care of.

Just waiting for Carson to get back. Then I've got to grab some food and be on my way out. Gonna meet Alisa and Jeff for Juno tonight. I hear it's a great movie. So, I shouldn't be disappointed. ;D

Had an awesome weekend. Met some of Carson's car buddies Friday night. Had some wine/champagne, had a lot of good laughs. Yeah, I really enjoyed myself. I'm sure I'll see these guys again plenty of times. Saturday, we had to go to Carson's shop to get his friend Ray to lift up his car and check out his header. (We bottomed out while driving over to his friend, Brandon's place, Friday night and ever since then, his car sounded like a lawnmower/go-kart. Haha!) Apparently, he not only almost completely closed one of the pipes from one of the cylinders, he also cracked the welds on the header where they connect to the engine block. I have never seen or heard of that happening, but that's hilarious. His friend Ray re-welded the cracks and cut out the dent in the header and re-welded a new piece of carbon on there to last till Carson's new header comes in. What a good day that was. That night we headed out to again to see Starkillers. Damn, he puts on a good show. Spun TONS of old hits I hadn't heard in forever. There were more good laughs had that night. I ended up having a few drinks with Carson. (When I say a few, it's only a few by comparison to, like, 12). That, too, was an awesome night. I can't even being to say how much fun I had. I think Brian had a good birthday. ;D It's just sad that it was my last night for about 4-6 weeks. But, it's cool. Lara, Connie and I will take those places by STORM when we come back!

More to come...!

After I got home from the relaxing day after partying with Carson and my other club friends, I got home around 6pm or so. Had a turkey sandwich, showered, and tried to watch TV with my parents. That failed miserably. I ended up falling asleep while watching TV with them. (That NEVER happens.) Anyways, they finally woke me up around 8:30 or so and I went up to sleep. I hadn't sleep that good in a long time. Probably got about 12 hours of sleep or so that night... The best.

Monday, just kinda hung out around the house. I was in such a good mood that day. Even moreso when I found out my good friends Alisa and Jeff were coming in town for that one night. ;D Not a lot of details this day... Just waited for 8-8:30 to roll around when Carson would be picking me up. Finally met up with Everyone up @ Lizard Lounge around 9 or 9:30. The place was completely decked out with balloons, hats, noise makers, confetti and all sorts of decorations for New Years. The regular house DJ's spent all their time in the video bar, as usual. Raydar, Shaolin, Andy Szontagh, Johnny Funk, Snow White all spun really good stuff. Though, when Raydar and Shaolin got up is when I really felt compelled to dance. I think we all got out there for a good while. It was one of the rare nights when we all actually danced. Not just myself or just Alisa or just whomever. That's what made that night really enjoyable for me. I liked seeing all my friends having fun. ;D

BT put on a really good show. I didn't get to catch his intro because I was distracted by the dancing that was going on in the video bar. But, I walked in during "Love Comes Again". The crowd really loved that song. Everyone was singing along to it. I worked my way to being right underneath where BT was in the DJ booth and I swear he was only about 5 feet from me. It was awesome. Alisa and Jeff took the stage right next to me. We all danced and sang along to other great songs. "Force of Gravity" was one of my favorites. That bass in the intro was amazing to feel. (Especially when you've seen all the speakers that sit right underneath the DJ booth.) Apparently he did "Godspeed", too. But, I missed it when I went in the other room to cool off for a bit. I was sad. I've known that song for almost 8 years. >.>

BT finished his set around 1:30 or two. I was kinda dissappointed because it seemed like he only played about 5-7 songs. But, it was still cool to be able to see him play. Myself, Alisa and Jeff went back in the video bar and started to gather everyone together. Carson headed out to another party, (which I heard was insane.) The rest of us split up and headed out towards Insomnia. I was real happy for a number of reasons. One:  Insomnia opened up at 2am instead of 4am and...two: My good friend Connie, who I thought I wasn't going to see again for almost six weeks, ended up showing at the last minute. Well, she showed up around 4am, but it made me very happy either way.

I think out of my friends I somehow had the most energy. Steph and Connie were still pretty awake most of the time. I remember seeing Lara, Zach, Brian and Wesley all crash out on the chairs a few times. Alisa and Jeff ended up heading out around 4 or 5, if I remember correctly. There wasn't as much dancing going on there as usual. I was acutally kinda dissappointed in that sense. But, I got to hang out with people I really care about, so it all worked out. I think we all headed out around 7:30 or so in the morning. The sun was just starting to come up and it was a nice 40-45 degrees outside. I walked out with Connie to her car to say bye to her and apparently the valet people rolled up her windows. (Which is a bad thing seeing as her car can only unlock from the inside, I hear.) We spent about the next 30 minutes in the freezing cold trying to get into her car with some of the most redneck inventions ever. After all that work, we finally got Connie back in her car and she was off. When I get in Leon's car, everyone tells me that she has a flat tire. v.v So, I called her up and let her know. She was pissed off. But, understandably so. We ran over to her real quick so I could try and help her with her flat. She didn't have a jack, but she had a spare. She didn't have a wrench that had the right lug nut size either. So, we ended up not really being able to do anything for her. So, she ended up driving home having to fill up the tire once every 20 minutes or so. I felt so bad for leaving her in that position. But, she made it home okay and so did we. So, everything worked out.

When we made it back to Lara's place, we all sat on the couch and covered ourselves with blankets and slept. Right there on the couch. It was probably the most relaxing sleep I had in a long time. Apparently I jerked around and twiched and everything every few minutes or so. To the point that it made people not want to lie next to me. (At least, that was the impression I got.) We all laid around and talked and just generally took it easy all day just sitting around. I don't get days like that often, so I really took advantage of it.

My friends are the greatest.

I finally got back to my parents place around 6pm or so that night, ate some dinner and headed back to D/FW.

Very long drive. My mind wondered a lot that night. I felt less than stellar that day. I'm much better now. But, still not in stellar status. Hopefully that will come back soon.

 What a great weekend!

Spent friday night with my friends in Ft. Worth. Carson, Zach, Lara and I all went to go see AVP2. It wasn't horrible. Though, it wasn't fantastic either. The best part of the movie? The "GET TO THE CHOPPER!" quote at the end. I never saw that coming. (Though, I definitely should have.) Haha! Afterwards we just all went back to Lara's place and chilled out playing Mass Effect and having a few drinks. Very chill.

Saturday, stayed in most of the day until Carson and I went out to the Lizard Lounge and Insomnia...What a crazy-ass night that was. DJ Irene spun some good tracks that night. Real good. If you've heard her Photosynthesis and Live @ Spundae CD's, you would've loved her that night. She seemed to be having a lot of fun. Even pulled out some photons at one point and started playing around with them. She obviously didn't really do the photon thing very often, but, noone cared. Cause she's badass. A lot of good memories from that night.

Favorite quote of the weekend:
"Josh! Where are we?... What time is it?"
"Dude, we're at the Lounge. Go back to dancing."
"....OKAY!!!"

Ended up hitting Insomnia around 4am like usual. Saw a few friends up there. Connie, Steph, Brian and Wes. Definitely the better night of the two I was there this weekend. The mood was better. The DJ's. Just the overall experience was so much better. I was sad to leave that night because I thought I wouldn't be seeing my new friend Connie again for over a month. But, it'll just make it more fun when she makes it back. It felt like we all danced forever that night. I wished that night went on forever. Not a single bad vibe the entire evening. I only felt happy that I was around the people I had with me that night. Unfortunately, 8am came as usual and we all had to leave. Connies ride left her and her two friends, so we had to go on an advenure to get them back to the drop off point where their ride could pick them up. I didn't mind a bit, though. Carson and I drove home still trying to shake off that dancing bug. (Unsuccessfully, I might add.)

We finally got  back home around 10:30 or so and Carson crashed pretty hard on the bed. I was definitely not ready to sleep. I jumped online and in my Insomnia-filled head I decided it would be a good idea to send out some messages and comments on myspace as well as make a phone call or two. Lara found this quite amusing when I called her... I was amused most of the time that morning because there would be random times I would look over, see Carson sleeping and most of the time his leg would be hanging off the bed, bouncing to the beat of the techno music we had playing in the background. There would be random times he would slowly stop and then randomly start tapping his leg to the music again. I did everything I could not to laugh.

I think after about 4 or 5 hours of just staring at the computer, I couldn't sit up anymore and had to go lie down. I pulled out my iPod and listened to the same song about a hundred times before finally turning it off and sleeping. (About 36 hours later.) ;D

To be continued....

Everything today is going exactly to plan.

I love it.

Now to see how tomorrow night and monday night work out... I'm so excited, but anxious about them.  I hope my friends from Austin can make it for NYE.

I ripped some of the sets off the LL website last night and burned them onto CD's for a couple of friends. They came out so perfectly. I can't wait to hear some of this music on my way back to D/FW tonight. As usual, I'll probably be blasting these songs super loud and have the windows down while going about 80+. Yeah, I'm insane. But, you all love it! ;D (j/k) (not really) (haha!) (seriously, I am kidding...)

Pros:
Mass Effect!
Guitar Hero III!
Spending time with family
Making new friends.
Building on existing friendships.
Seeing most of my friends all at one place.
[Things at the club stay at the club] (haha!)

Cons:
All the driving back and forth.
Some friends didn't fare so well. >.>
Wes lost her phone.
I spent a lot of money this weekend.
(But, the worse one:) It had to end.

I got to see Zach again Friday night for the first time since he went into basic. He looks a lot better. I can tell he's feeling much better about himself, too. Definitely a needed change. Real happy for him. We grabbed a few beers and went over to Stephanie's place to see her for a bit. Neither of us had hung out with her in a while. It was good to see her again in a relaxed environment. Had a few laughs. Zach started falling asleep around 1:30 or 2, so he went and slept on Steph's bed while Steph and I sat down and talked for a bit. I think we crashed around 3:30 or 4. I woke up about 3 hours later to Zach poking me in the side waking me up. He was ready to go. I was not. But, I wasn't going to make him just sit there. So, we drove back and I dropped off Zach and then went home to crash immediately.

After waking up around 1 or so, I finally go downstairs and see my family and catch up a bit before going out to dinner with everyone at Tokyo w/ Alisa, Jeff, Lara, Leon, Zach and a few others that I wasn't familiar with. (NO TXTING @ THE TABLE!) Alisa's parents are awesome and dinner was on the house. So we each put in a $5 tip. I had to thank them both for letting us eat there.

We all gathered back at Lara's place soon after to play some Wii and get ready for our big night. Not a lot happened here. Just generally chilling out, people getting dressed, etc. We all piled into my car, (with the exception of Lara and Leon) and headed out to my parents place to grab a few things and then over to the Lounge. Somehow even after turning back around twice, Lara, Leon and Emily still managed to arrive before we did. It honestly didn't matter much because the place was D-E-A-D DEAD! It stayed that way for a good 3 hours or so. I was worried that the place wouldn't pick up at all and we'd be left fending for ourselves at Insomnia. I thought I had dissappointed Zach pretty badly with how I hyped up that place. But, we got to see Tye and a few others that I hadn't seen in a while and we got to catch up and joke around for quite a while, so it ended up being fun. I also heard a ton of new mixes from Raydar and Shaolin. My favorite of the night was the remix of the Ghostbusters theme. Thankfully, around 12:30-1am, it picked up quite a bit and became good fun. We all hung out and danced and everything for a few more hours till the Lounge closed about 3:30-4:00am.

About then, we left. It was fuckin' freezing. Everyone ran out to the car jumping and screaming. I thought it was hilarous. We get in the car and, because we were definitely out of it from all our dancing and moving about, took a fwe minutes to realize that we didn't know how the fuck to get to Insomnia without directions. So, since noone wanted to go back up to the front and ask what the address is to Insomnia... I had to get out and walk up to grab a flyer from one of the bouncers at the front. A few minutes later and we were off. (I wish I could talk more about the trip over to Insomnia. I just wish I hadn't been driving. Haha! But, it was definitely made up for later...)

At some point in the future, we got on the street Insomnia was on, but, couldn't seem to find it. I had never had so much trouble getting there.... I called up Connie and she gave us some directions and saved us. I felt so dumb when I found out how close it really was. *shakes head* If I remember correctly, someone was out of cash and needed some money to get in. I, for some reason, thought it made sense to give them my last 20 so they could get in. Then I waited for about 10-15 minutes out in the freezing cold while noone came out to give me money to get in. >.> Connie, thankfully ran in and grabbed some money from someone. (I honestly can't remember who. I just can't remember being happier to see a $20 dollar bill in my life.) Either way, I finally got in and the night/morning got on it's way. I was psyched to see DJ Micro.

I spent a lot of time hanging out with Lara, Alisa, Jeff, Stephanie, Zach and Constance. Gave more light shows than I really intended on. My arms got such a workout there. But, I guess it's a good thing, no? It's gonna get worse when I get those chucks from Lara...(btw, Lara, Is this what you purchased for me? If so, you spent far too much. They are badass though, so I can't not accept them. I'll just have to make it up to you somehow...) There was a lot here that went on that was different than normal. I think it was just cause there were more people that I knew this time. I got a lot of compliments on my new hat. (Thanks Alisa!) One girl I met really seemed interested in it... Yes, many thanks Alisa... ;D

There was more to this whole entry... But, I don't have time to write it today. I'm completely spent for now. It's too hectic. I'm ready to go home and play Mass Effect some more. Haha!

I can't wait till Saturday night. Monday is going to be fantastic, too!

a good night last night.

Got to hang out w/ Marcy and show her some good music and even introduce her to V for Vendetta. Apparently she had never seen it before. (And she didn't believe me when I said it would be one of her favorite movies.) Now she also has 109234509348 new songs to listen to and about the same amount of anime/movies to watch. I think she'll be busy for a while.

I didn't get a chance to pack everything I wanted to, but I'm going home for my lunch break. I'm gonna pack and then heat up some leftover chinese and eat on my way back to work. Then I should be ready to leave as soon as I get outta work. The drive is gonna suck... 5pm. Austin. 35N. >.> I'll be there by sometime Christmas evening, I think. Actually, I'll ram all the cars out of the way before I do that. Like hell I'm missing this weekend with my friends and family. It's gonna be too awesome. There will be many pictures had, I'm hoping. I want to make this memorable.

So freakin' catchy.

And I thought that the CD I showed Carson/Lara was epic.

I guess Behind the Decks: Live is the same way for me. (Well some of the songs, at least.)

Lara, if you didn't get enough of that on the way back to D/FW, you're going to saturday. Well, you and anyone else who happens to be in my car this weekend. I can promise you that! Haha!

Why can't some people just let go of things? Why do they always need to feel the need to say something? It'd be one thing if it was something constructive or something helpful. But, just to try and put someone down? What purpose does that serve? None. Some people just don't make sense to me.

Other than this past 5 minutes....The past weekend till now was awesome. I'm so glad my friends came down. I always have a good time with them.

I got outta work around 5 and pretty much spent the entire time cleaning up the apartment. I was pretty proud of how well I did that. It looked pretty damn good, I thought. About 7 or 8, Jeff came by and we hung out and watched some import movies that I hadn't seen in a good long time while we waited for Carson and Lara to arrive. Got to check out Casshern and Red Shadow again. God how I missed those movies. ;D Ordered a pizza and had a few beers. It was a good start to the weekend.
Carson and Lara showed up around 11 or so. We sat there for about 5 minutes chatting and then Carson was ready to start having a few drinks. I got a bottle of Crown and we shared some Crown and Coke that night. It was real relaxed for a while. Just playing some music, catching up, chilling out at the apartment. That was until around 2 or 3. Haha! Alisa and a few others showed up and hung out for a few more hours. Apparently someone found my chucks and I felt compelled to play with them, (as I normally do when I get a little drunk.) Carson decided to video tape it. I realized that it looks way cooler than it really feels. Which, I guess is cool. Haha! I hurt Carson's foot at some point and almost destroyed a few things. But, it would've been in the name of entertainment. So, it would've been all good. Haha! I even got to show someone a few takedowns and such. I haven't gotten to do that in forever. Everyone finally crashed/left around 4:30 or 5. Definitely a good night.

Walk up to random people and say “WHAT YEAR IS IT?” and when they tell you, get quiet and then say “Then there’s still time!” and run off.

Today is so much better.

I went to sleep around 10:30-11pm last night. I'm so glad I did. I don't have a sore throat anymore and I don't feel sore all over, either. My right shoulder hurts a bit. But, for the most part, it's a hell of a lot better.

Gonna hang out with my friend Marcy tonight. Always fun.
Just trying to pass the time till this weekend now.

Got a few more presents I need to get.

Alisa
Dad

I already know what I'm getting Alisa. I still have to hunt for my dad. I think I'll find something before the weekend though...

Did a lot of brainstorming/research for Christmas weekend. I have some good ideas that I think will make it very memorable.

DJ Raydar / Shaolin put up a new mix for last month on the 2R-Recordings website. They're at the bottom. I highly suggest downloading them. This is basically the stuff I hear at the lounge every time I go. (With the exception of the few headliner DJ's there.) Good stuff.

Awesome.
